William M. Lynk, CRL has been a locksmith since 1975 and attained a Bachelor's Degree from Kent State University (Kent, OH) and a Master's Degree from Cambridge College (Cambridge, MA). He is an IC Specialist, Certified ALOA A.C.E. instructor, as well as the Subject Matter Expert on IC for ALOA. He teaches classes on interchangeable cores and master keying at the ALOA Conventions and across the country. Bill is an industry author having penned Interchangeable Cores: Small Format ©2000, Removable Cores: Large Format ©2003 and SFIC: Advanced ©2005, along with various related industry articles. His fourth IC book, IC Everything ©2009, is now being completed. With a driving passion for IC, he has originated SFIC Technical Manuals for both national and international lock manufacturers and maintains a working relationship with the major lock and security manufacturers throughout the world. Bill is a member of ALOA, ASIS, ILA, LSA, LIST Council, Keynotes Editorial Advisory Board and ClearStar, as well as the Owner of ICLS [Interchangeable Core Lock Systems] located in Metro Detroit and on the internet at: www. Mark Bates has worked in the lock industry for over twenty years, starting as a locksmith and safe technician. In 1993 he founded MBA USA, Inc. which has grown to be a leading provider of security education and equipment. Mr. Bates is a longtime member of the Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA), the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and the Safe and Vault Technicians Association (SAVTA). In 2000 he was inducted into the SAVTA Hall of Fame. Mark is the author of the reference book "Modern Safe Locks", and has contributed articles to leading industry journals. In addition to his duties as instructor at MBA, Mark has conducted classes for ALOA, SAVTA, and for numerous regional associations. These classes have taken Mr. Bates throughout the U.S. and Canada, to England, Germany, Spain, Denmark, Austria, Italy, and the Middle East. From these travels, Mark has developed a deep understanding of locks and security from a global vantage point.

Vernon Kelley, CPL, CJIL is an accomplished Locksmith and author of several Locksmithing related books and articles, including Institutional Lock Shop Management. He has served on the Board of Directors for ALOA and the ILA (where he also served as Treasurer on the National level and President of the Delaware Valley Chapter), has been a commercial Locksmith and manages a professional Lock shop for the College of New Jersey, where he oversees mechanical and electronic security. He has taught professional courses for Locksmiths for over five years. He is the Regional Sales and Fulfillment Manager for the East Coast for Lounging Lizard Publishing, LLC, which specializes in security related instructional materials, books and courses.
J. Casey Camper, CML, CPS began locksmithing in 1974. His career includes service as a factory rep for a major lock manufacturer as well as over 20 years owning and operating 2 full service locksmith and security companies in Colorado and Montana. Casey is an ALOA certified instructor who has taught at the ALOA national convention and is currently a consultant providing advice, training , and custom installation assistance to locksmiths, security companies, and commercial clients. Casey is the 2005 recipient of the ALOA Continuing Education (ACE) Instructor of the Year award which is presented annually by the ALOA Training Department.
Mike Oehlert, CMST, CPL has been active in the safe and vault industry since 1979, performing all aspects of high security safe work to include modular vaults and heavy rigging jobs. He has taught numerous safe and safe lock related classes for the Safe and Vault Technicians Association (SAVTA), ALOA, and Mas-Hamilton. Mike is the Training & Technical Manager for SAVTA and he has served on the SAVTA Board of Directors. Some of his duties include production of the S&VT monthly magazine and technical bulletins, assisting members on safe related technical questions, and the administration of educational classes at convention.
Don O'Shall, CPL,CMIL,CMKS has been active in the education of locksmiths on virtually every aspect of the trade since the early 1970's , and has authored and co-authored over thirty books and magazine articles for the trade. In addition to teaching for Locksmith Associations all over the United States and Canada, he is a former instructor for the New York and National Schools of Locksmithing and Alarms, as well as for the All Lock Automotive Institute. He has been the recipient of many awards, including the Gerald Connelly Jr award. He has served as Vice President for the WPLA and on the national Board of the ILA, as well as being a member of the LIST Council. A former commercial Locksmith, today Don is the manager of Access Control and Locksmithing for Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is the Associate Editor for The Institutional Locksmith magazine, and is co-chairman of the certification committee of the Institutional Locksmith Association. He has served as an Adjunct Key Systems Specialist for Security Consulting firms such as Aegis Security. Don has been called one of today's "Grand Masters of Master Keying", and credits his interest in Master Keying to the experts he was fortunate enough to learn from and question over the years, as well as the questions his own students and associates have asked.

David E. Thielen, CML is the lockshop manager for Adams Twelve Five Star School District, Broomfield, Colorado. David has been a professional locksmith for more than 25 years a member of RMLA and DHI and a member of ALOA since 1985. He has instructed classes for the Rocky Mountain Locksmiths Association and has developed and instructed ACE certified classes for ALOA at regional and national conventions. David is a two time winner of the ALOA Continuing Education (ACE) Instructor of the Year award, most recently receiving the 2004 ACE award which is presented annually by the ALOA Training Department.
John Truempy, CRL, CMIL, is an accomplished professional commercial, institutional and investigative locksmith with extensive advanced training and experience in master keying, system design, key control and commercial and institutional hardware. He is an innovative teacher devoted to education and learning, and has authored and co-authored many books and magazine articles for the Locksmithing trade. He is on the national and local chapter boards of the Institutional Locksmiths’ Association where he has served as Vice President, Chairman of the Board, and Co-chair of the Certification Committee. He is also a board member of the International Association of Investigative Locksmiths. He is a member of the LIST Council and co-owner and administrator of LocksmithCommunity.com. John is employed as a full time institutional locksmith at the University of Pennsylvania. He has authored and co-authored many books for the Locksmithing trade, including The Complete Security Professional's Handbook of Master Keying. He is one of the primary shareholders for Lounging Lizard Publishing, LLC, which specializes in security related instructional materials, books and courses.
Tony West, CJIL, has been teaching Locksmithing and Burglar Alarms for Locksmith Associations since 1982. He is the co-author of several books including The Master Keying Textbook (1984 and 2006 editions) and The Complete Security Professional's Handbook of Master Keying. Tony owns and operates A West Security in Somers, NY, with many major commercial clients, as well as instructing Locksmithing, Security and Alarm courses for Adult Education at Southern Westchester BOCES Valhalla, NY and Basic Electricity for Adult Education BOCES. He is the National Sales Manager for Lounging Lizard Publishing, LLC, which specializes in security related instructional materials, books and courses.
Cecil Thornton spent four years as a shipboard certified locksmith and acted as "6th Fleets Locksmith” during Desert Storm prior to retiring after 23 years of service on the US Navy. Following his retirement, Cecil joined Rutherford Controls in 1995 and eventually moved into the role of Technical Training Instructor. Since taking on this role in 2003, he has maintained a high level of excellence as he continues to write, obtain certification and conduct RCI CEU credited courses throughout North America.
Don Cherry, Jr., CCPR is training coordinator for Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies of New England, and has been in the Security Hardware and Locksmith industries for over 23 years. Don specializes in electrified and electronic hardware, is a Certified Construction Product Representative with the Constructions Specifications Institute, and is a member of the Door Hardware Institute.
Joy Skowron has been involved in many facets of the automotive aftermarket for 32 years and has been conducting automotive training classes for the past 17 years. Joy has been involved with the technology changes during that time, and educating the market through the evolution of products and technology.
